On the Knife Edge

About

Part historical fiction, inspired by the  true story of El Faro, the container ship that sank in a  hurricane off the Bahamas, this Down East spy thriller casts the reader into the Ukraine war.

Second Mate Melanie is surprised to see her long-last lover, Jack Pierce onboard. He's a CIA assassin, there to blow it up. Unaware he's now dangerous, she seduces him. They survive the hurricane, and he follows her to the Maine North Woods, where they must fight for their lives on Mount Katahdin's Knife Edge.

A recent review says: "S Mason Pratt weaves a spy thriller with heart. The hurricane scenes were so intense I felt I was right there in the storm. The romance is fiery and complicated, the action relentless, and the ending completely satisfying.
